How we lead our kids depends on our personal relationship with God. Dave and Shannon continue to discuss why it is important to be the primary spiritual leader in your child’s life with our special guests: the Everitt and Simrak families! This week, we discuss partnering with your child in their spiritual development, normalizing faith, helping kids see God at work throughout the every day moments, and modeling forgiveness.
As a parent, you are laying the foundation for a child’s spiritual development, and we recognize this is no light task. Listen in as we dive into practical ways to exemplify God’s love with our kids that they may connect with God and their neighbors and impact the world!

The Bible
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

Join us as Dave and Shannon discuss why it is important to be the primary spiritual leader in your child’s life with our special guests: the Everitt and Simrak families! As a parent, sometimes the spiritual aspect of parenting gets put on the back burner. The church has approximately 40 hours a year (and now with COVID, it's even more minimal); while as a parent, you have about 3,000 hours each year with your child. In this podcast, we discuss the great commission in the context of family, setting our kids up for spiritual success, and how to communicate the ways our decisions are impacted by our faith. This is part one of a two part discussion.
